Legal

Policies

Confidentiality, fees, fraud warnings, cookies and how to complain, all in one place.

  1. 01Confidentiality

Everything you tell us about yourself and your asset is treated as strictly confidential — whether or not you become a client.

    • Your identity is never revealed to the other side. You are known only by a code name.
    • Asset details are only shared after the other side signs a confidentiality agreement (NDA) and you approve them.
    • We check buyers and sellers before introducing them, and you can say no to anyone.
    • Nothing is listed in public.
  2. 02Fees and payment

One clear fee, agreed in writing in your engagement letter before any work starts. If the deal doesn't happen, you don't pay a success fee.

All deal payments are made through an independent South African escrow account. We never hold the purchase money. There are no hidden costs. If we ever need to spend money on your behalf, such as a specialist report, we'll ask you first.

  3. 03Payment fraud warning

Criminals sometimes pretend to be advisers and send fake banking details. To protect you:

    • We will never change our banking details by email alone.
    • Purchase money only ever goes to escrow, never to us or the other side.
    • Before paying us, confirm the account by emailing us directly at support@dlegal.co.za.
    • We only email from our official Dynamic Legal addresses.
    • If something feels wrong, stop and contact us. We can't be responsible for money paid into an account we didn't confirm with you directly.
  4. 04Knowing our clients (FICA)

South African and US law require us to confirm who we work with and where money comes from. Before we act for you, and before we introduce the other side, we'll ask for identity documents, company registration details and proof of address. We may also check where a buyer's money comes from. These details are never shared with the other side.

We won't take part in any deal we reasonably suspect involves money laundering, fraud or other crime, and we may have to report it.

  5. 05Conflicts of interest

We act for the client who engaged us. We won't secretly act for the other side in the same deal or take a hidden payment from them. If a possible conflict comes up, we'll tell you straight away and only carry on if you agree in writing.

  6. 06Anti-bribery

We don't offer, pay, ask for or accept bribes or improper payments of any kind, and we expect the same of everyone we work with.

  7. 07Cookies

We only use the cookies and similar storage the site needs to work and stay secure — for example, keeping your session secure. We don't use advertising cookies, we don't track you across other sites, and we don't sell your browsing data.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site should still work as normal.

  8. 08Website accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers or keyboards only. If anything is hard to use, please tell us at support@dlegal.co.za and we'll fix it or help another way.

  9. 09Social media

Our social media pages share general information only — not advice for your situation. Please never post confidential details about yourself or your asset in comments or public messages; email us instead.

  10. 10Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything we've done, we want to hear about it. Email support@dlegal.co.za. We'll acknowledge your complaint within two working days, look into it properly, and give you a written answer within 14 days. If you're still not satisfied, you're free to take the matter further through the relevant regulator or ombud.

  11. 11Changes to these policies

We may update these policies from time to time. The latest version always lives on this page. If a change affects an engagement you've signed, the engagement letter wins until we both agree otherwise.
